Lighting up your first cigar can give you the feeling of being on top of the world. Here are four quick and easy tips to make you look like an experienced cigar smoker and not a total newbie:

1. Light with matches or a butane lighter
2. Warm the open end of the cigar slowly over the flame, without touching it to the fire
3. Place the cigar in your mouth and pull it slowly while holding the cigar over the flame without touching it. Turn the cigar slowly, spinning it to create an even burn.
4. Continue to pull on the cigar until the cigar is completely lit. Once your cigar is lit, take a look at the cigar to ensure it is burning evenly. If it’s not burning evenly blow on the unlit sections and then take one or two pulls on the cigar to create an even burn.
